Organisational Sustainability
ECSA3 is unique. The system captures the entire organisational
structure via a payroll data feed. This enables Control Item Management
to be assigned to roles/positions rather than to people. By
assigning Control Items to roles, ECSA3 becomes a robust,
sustainable embedded process. When a person leaves a position,
the new incumbent is automatically assigned the Control Item Management for which
the previous person in the position was responsible. Additional
benefits of assigning Control Items to roles are:
- Simple to maintain, add a Control Item to the role, then
every person in that role is automatically assigned that
control item.
- Users are only assigned Control Items that are relevant
to them, they are not presented with Control Items that
are not relevant to them. This ensures better “buy
in” from the operational units of the business as
they feel that time spent completing the CSA is time well
spent.
- Ensures every person in that role has the appropriate
Control Items assigned.
- All Control Items have specific time frames for completion
and spot checks.
- Emails are generated when a new Control Item is added
to the people in those roles.
